"I have recently started bringing my puppy Cosmo to Lil’o’s club and it has been great. We did some indoor group play sessions and now starting the drop off playtimes. Carlos has been very helpful educating me on ways to improve Cosmos confidence. He really is in tune with each dog he is with and helps build them visit by visit. Cant wait to bring him again. Highly recommend Lil’o’s Club!"

"We need more trainers like Carlos! Carlos worked with my puppy, Ebi, for drop off socialization classes and my puppy loved every class! Carlos is super friendly and patient.
You can tell that he truly loves dogs and wants the very best for each one he works with. Before I started classes with Carlos, I was answering his fun Instagram dog training quizzes and ended up asking him some follow up questions. What really stood out to me was how open and responsive he was even before I signed up for classes. He was already giving me training advice and tips and I wasn’t even a client yet!
That left such an amazing first impression on me and I could tell that he was in dog training not for the money, but to really help support dogs and their owners. We travelled all the way from Richmond Hill to see Carlos, and it’s worth the drive! We noticed our puppy is so much better on walks now and more comfortable in outside environments. Carlos, if you ever decide to open something in Richmond Hill, you know Ebi and I will be first to book!!"

"Cannot recommend Carlos and his team enough, we met him when he was working with a different trainer, saddly said trainer had to close their location near us and we were struggling on finding the right program for our dog.
I found Lol'o's Club through instagram and realized it was Carlos and Nyx whom my dog had been very comfortable in the past. Our pup was considered a reactive dog, through lots of training and patience he's slowly getting better but still needs to work on calming himself down, we were so happy to find Carlos again and continue his training as he can easily explain what's going on through our dogs mind.
Carlos has been nothing but supportive, he gives you so much useful information and spends lots of time making sure you understand how to continue the training process, checks up on your progress and seems always excited to chat.
You can tell he and his team are very passionate about their job and that's just what you want in a trainer."

"Our 3 dogs love play sessions with Carlos! They come home happy and tired from all the playtime and enrichment Carlos provides! Our Pomeranian goes for training sessions as well and I have seen such a difference in him since day 1. Situations and places I've never thought he'd be behaved in.. he's great! I'm always impressed with every session. We appreciate all the feedback and videos Carlos sends us. We can't thank him enough for everything up until now. My whole family and I agree that we are so happy we found Lil O's!!!"

"Cannot give enough stars to Lilo’s Club. I came across the group on Instagram and I am so glad that I did. Not only has it helped our Sesame with her reactivity, but has provided a great community of other small dog owners. Both Sesame and I look forward to our play sessions and walks with the group. Carlos and team are beyond helpful and provide a safe space to correct behavioural issues without punishment. I’ve been struggling for some time to find a trainer that focuses on redirecting vs punishing. As well they offer a ton of items for rent or purchase such as treat puzzles and other enrichment ideas for your pup! If you have a small dog, pls check them out!"

"Peanut and I absolutely love this company! Peanut is a 5pound chihuahua and is usually afraid of big dogs.
Their dedicated play sessions for little dogs (5-15 pounds) provides a safe and welcoming environment for him to socialize and have fun. The atmosphere is amazing and it’s clear they genuinely care about all the pets that come.
I also appreciate that they have occasional markets that feature small vendors, it’s a great way to help out local small businesses and to discover cool new stuff for your pet! They also have cute puzzle rentals that are such a creative way to keep your dog mentally stimulated.
Highly recommend for small dog owners!!"

"The best thing to happen to my dog, Linus! Lil’o’s Club provides regular play sessions in a fun and safe (indoor) space for little pups to run around off-leash and play. Carlos and crew always supervise each play session and offers training tips and advice. The club also offers private training sessions, enrichment plans, outdoor group walks/hikes, and other services that are super useful for dog parents.
Would highly recommend to any dog parent, but especially to dog parents with little dogs. I hope the club continues to grow because what they offer is truly unique. Everyone is always welcome at Lil’o’s :)"

"Dexter has had issues with social anxiety but Carlos and the group at Lilos Club have really done amazing to bring Dexter out of his shell! He can now play with the other pups in the neighbourhood and feel confident in himself! Thank you!"

"Carlos is a dog trainer unlike any other. He is very patient, he is attentive and most of all he really cares about our fur babies. The positive environment and the enrichment experience that he gives our pups are what make him very special. The play sessions really help us a lot in expending excess energy that our Penny seems to have lots of. Her socialization skills have greatly improved in the past months. We will keep bringing Penny to see Carlos and her little friends for as long as she enjoys them."

"We had been longing for an indoor dog park for the days that our temperature-sensitive Italian greyhound puppy gets too cold to play outside.
I found out about the indoor play sessions, and she absolutely loved it. There were tons of little dogs around her size and there was a lot of space to zoom around inside.
Everyone was super friendly, and the coordinators themselves were very kind and remembered her name after just once learning it. I felt they really cared about her and the other dogs. They also had agility equipment to play with. We will be back!"

"We are so happy to have found Carlos! We have been struggling with our sweet Yorkie-poo for some time with behavioural issues. We invited Carlos into our home for a very informative 1.5 hour session.
He was able to make an assessment through some questions and observations. He cleared up our confusion as to why we were seeing some of these behaviours and he put us to work right away with some suggestions and guidance. We have seen improvement after the one visit. Carlos recommended some next steps including some 1:1 work with himself and some other dogs. Our dog has had one drop off session and again we are seeing improvement.
Carlos is very kind, calm and gentle - we love his approach. He has earned our trust and our dogs which as anyone with a pet knows, they are family and you want others to love them and care for them as much as you do. We will continue to work with Carlos to help our little guy and highly recommend him to anyone."

"My little guy (6 pound, Yorkie) has been seeing Carlos consistently since June! He’s always looking forward to spending time with him and even cries on the way when he realizes we’re near Carlos’ house! The bond they built has been amazing and helps me build the bond with my lil one at home! He’s honestly progressed so much since June andy only regret was not finding Carlos sooner😭

There’s truly no club like Lilo's Club! With regular play sessions and walks tailored for small dogs, my 5-month-old pup gets the perfect, safe environment to socialize and play with other dogs. Thanks to Carlos & team.
I highly recommend this club to anyone looking to help their dog make new friends and socialize. It’s a much better alternative to a typical dog park.

"Cannot recommend lil’o’s club enough! My puppy was initially very shy and preferred to sit and watch the other dogs play. However, after about 3-4 play sessions, he has a completely different personality! He’s now very friendly and playful. The play sessions are a great way to socialize your dog in a safe environment."

"UPDATE ON MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: I would give Carlos 10 stars if I could.
I recently invited a senior pup (Buddy - 13 yrs) to stay with us for a few weeks while his pup-parents went on vacation overseas. My pup (Caramella - 2 yrs) was aggressively trying to get him to play with her, and it was creating a pretty stressful environment for them both. I invited Carlos to come over and give us some guidance on how to best navigate their interactions, and boy, am I so happy we thought of him!
After just one session with coaching and examples, we have some effective techniques to navigate their vastly different energy levels, and are at least enjoying a nap long while I work in my office (see newly added photo).
Original Review:
I have nothing but great things to say about Lil'o's Club and Carlos. I am a first time dog owner, with all the tendencies and desires to give my puppy everything she wants, while knowing very well that isn't good for her in the long run - but didn't know how to go about putting positive reinforcement in practice for some of the tougher things in training.
Carlos is a dog lover at heart, and you can see how his knowledge, experience, and true caring for the well-being of his 'students' drives everything he does.
He creates an environment where Puppy Play Sessions are safe and educational, guiding good behaviours while letting our pups have fun; he gently reminds us pet parents what undesirable behaviours we are inadvertently reinforcing, and helps us encourage our pups to make "good choices".
Caramella is always happy to see Carlos and gets excited as we drive to her play sessions (she knows the way now), but more importantly, she is growing to be even more wonderful as a puppy companion, and I am becoming a better guardian and roommate to her as a result of our time at Lil'o's.
Thank you for all the great guidance and wonderful opportunities to meet other sweet doggies at Lil'o's!"

"We were overwhelmed trying to figure out how to handle a new puppy and an older dog. Carlos was patient, kind and non-judgmental. He took the time to explain his approach fully, demonstrated the skill and then guided us when we tried. It is clear that he adores dogs and his knowledge is outstanding. After the session he shared resources and next steps. We are also welcome to message with him for further support. .
After only 1.5 hours, we feel like we have a clear plan to fully enjoy our dogs without feeling overwhelmed. We no longer feel like we at “in above our heads”. We highly recommend his company and look forward to taking advantage of other services he offers.

"Carlos was great from the moment he came to our house and until the moment he left! We requested his help for our German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois mix, as we were lacking the tools to help further his training. He was very knowledgeable about our breed of dog and attentive to all our questions and concerns throughout the session. He gave great advice and training tips to help address all the things we wanted to help our dog achieve.
He went above and beyond to send us helpful articles and a follow-up email to go over everything that we spoke about during our session. We highly recommend Carlos and so does our dog, Echo!"
