Have you considered the following enrichment activities with your dog?
✅ Agility training classes:
Private if your dog is sensitive or easily distracted or group for extra socialization.
✅ Scent detection-like exercises:
Hide a treat or two somewhere in your living room while your dog isn't looking.
✅ Snuffle/puzzle boxes:
Have a puzzle or snuffle mat your dog has already figured out? Throw it inside a cardboard box and burry it with with toys.
✅ Scavenging and searching for treats on walks:
Give your dog something fun to do on your walks by bringing along their treats or kibble.
✅ Digging boxes:
Literally just kiddie pools with towels, toys and treats tossed in there for your dog to dig.
✅ Meeting new dogs every 2-3 days:
Organize or attend a group walk or play date!
✅ New location-bonding:
Going to new parks and hiding snacks or toys 1-2 times a week for you both to find together.
✅ Rotating toys: Bring a different toy (keep them on rotation) or tug-and-pull toy on walks to further engage with your dog.
✅ Burning energy and decompressing:
Use a flirt pole for a few minutes on your dog walks, before or after.
✅ Hiding your dog’s toys around the house:
Got a toy your dog is really into? Hide it for a bit and ask them to search it.
✅ Setting up obstacles:
Setup boxes, furniture and even recycling items to challenge your dog their way through an obstacle course in your home.
✅ Backpack laundry:
Clip your dog to your waist, get them a dog backpack and have them carry the clothes pins and socks as they join you for laundry and cleaning chores
✅ New tricks and games classes in your area
