Jack Russel Terrier Rescue of Ontario (JRTRO) Training Days

Have you ever wanted to try your dog at JRT events, but didn’t know where to go, or maybe were nervous about trying them? Or do you have an experienced dog that needs some additional training? Or do you just want to have a super fun day playing with your dog(s)? Then come out and join us and your fellow adopters! 

The JRTRO is hosting at least three training days - please mark your calendar:  

DATE & EVENT 

May 18 Muskrat Racing (AM), Lure Coursing (PM) 

May 19 Racing (AM), Lure Coursing (PM) 

June 1 GTG (AM), Lure Coursing (PM) 

Morning events will start at 9:00 am, we will break for lunch around 11:30 and start the afternoon events around 12:30. Lunch will be a potluck. Location is: 11891 County Rd 2. Colborne, ON, K0K 1S0 

If you plan on attending, please send me an email letting me know the level that your dog(s) are at. If there are other events you would like training for, let me know. If these events are successful, we will be happy to host more throughout the summer. Cost is $10/event/dog, so to attend both events would be $20/dog. Any dog can join us for lure coursing or muskrat racing if they like to swim.  GTG and Racing are limited to dogs 15” and smaller at the withers.

All proceeds of these Training Days will benefit Zia. Just one year old and a tiny 8 lbs, this sweet Terrier was found as a stray and was slated to be euthanized before being rescued by JRTRO. When just a puppy, Zia had suffered a broken hip that was left untreated, resulting in permanent damage requiring specialized and very costly orthopaedic surgery.
